Visit Nature

El Yunque National Forest
The rain forest is the #1 attraction on the island. The link below will take you to the Visitors Center where you can stop to learn more, or continue driving into the park. The landscapes are stunning and you will find many places to stop and explore. There is a fee to park at the visitors center, but entrance to the park is free. Go early to guarantee entrance as there is a daily limit.

BaƱo de Oro - El Yunque
Father into the rainforest you will find BaƱo de Oro. There are trails that take you further back to see more structures and learn about the history. Park in the lot nearby to avoid parking tickets.

YokahĆŗ Tower - El Yunque
This tower is located right off the main road through the rainforest. You can walk to the top of the tower for panoramic views of the rainforest down to Luquillo Beach.

Cueva del Indio
This nature reserve is located along the coast in Arecibo. The landscape and terrain here is incredible. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear as the rocks are jagged and rough at points.
Hiking

Angelito Trailhead
This trail is an easy hike down to a river that where you can swim or just relax on the shore. Some of the trail can be muddy and slippery so plan accordingly. I do highly recommend this spot. It is located outside the gates of El Yunque so you can go here if the park is closed.

Torre Mount Britton Trailhead
This trail is located in El Yunque National Park. It is one of the most popular as it is paved. Learn more at the link below.
Rivers & waterfalls

La Coca Falls - El Yunque
La Coca Falls is located on the main road through the rainforest. There are areas to park so you can walk right up to the falls. Be sure to park in designated areas only. You will get a parking ticket otherwise!

River at Angelito Trail
Take the Angelito Trail in the rainforest down to this amazing place to swim in the river. There are shallow areas with clear, cool water. It's a great place to spend an afternoon!

Gozalandia Waterfalls
This is a very cool spot located in San Sebastian. There is a large parking lot (paid parking) and a restaurant and bar on the grounds. It is short, but steep walk down to the bottom of the falls where you can take a dip in the river. Take care as the rocks can be very slippery!
